![]() But I do sometimes consider going back to repetier.they'd have to update the mac version of host though before I'd seriously consider it. ![]() So I've pretty much migrated away from repetier and now use the prusa version of slic3r for slicing since it can send directly to octoprint. Though the other thing that helped is I switched from primarily slicing on a PC to doing most of my work from a macbook - and rep-host on mac is out of date by several revisions with no apparent plans to update it as they're kind of talking about moving everything into server instead.but haven't actually done it yet. But still doesn't feel as nice to me as rep-server. Which has improved since I started using it. But it upset me enough I switched to octoprint. I had actually been strongly considering buying the full version up until that point. To wake up one day and have your software suddenly say "Oh, all these features you're used to and enjoy.they're gone unless you pay now" really rubbed me the wrong way. But.I didn't like the way that they removed functionality from existing beta users when they released their next version. Port < 1024 are privileged ports and can only be run with root privileges. Next release supports alternative config files that do not get overwritten with updates. Check in the Port settings, if you see anything other than Auto. First, you need to restart the server to make changes work. I found it to be way more stable and reliable with nicer features. Repetier-host for FELIXprinters is software to control your printer and prepare your 3D. I much preferred rep-server to octoprint (I don't use the pi version, I use a $9 C.H.I.P computer instead of a pi and manually install octoprint).
